COVID-19: State update - 173,121 cases and 5,495 deaths

As of October 14, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 331 and the number of deaths had increased by 9, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 173,121 and the number of deaths is 5,495 as of Wednesday.

LDH says that the collection dates for most of these cases fall between October 6 and October 13, 2020. 97 percent of the cases reported to the state on Wednesday were community spread and 3 percent of the cases reported to the state were in congregate settings.

LDH reports that 161,792 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays; last update 10/12/20).

Since Tuesday, 6,316 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,516,635.

According to LDH, 582 people are currently hospitalized (up 9 from Tuesday), and 64 of those are on ventilators (down 4 from Tuesday).

As of October 13, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 653 and the number of deaths had increased by 10, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 172,801 and the number of deaths is 5,486 as of Tuesday.

LDH reports that 157,873 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays; last update 10/05/20).

Since Monday, 20,582 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,510,319.

According to LDH, 573 people are currently hospitalized (down 4 from Monday), and 68 of those are on ventilators (down 2 from Monday).
