As of October 13, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 653 and the number of deaths had increased by 10, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
The total number of cases in the state is now at 172,801 and the number of deaths is 5,486 as of Tuesday.
A technical issue on Monday limited the number of cases and tests reported by labs to the Louisiana Department of Health. LDH says that the remaining tests not received on Monday due to the technical issue were added to Tuesday's reported numbers.
LDH says that the collection dates for most of these cases fall between October 5 and October 12, 2020. 93 percent of the cases reported to the state Tuesday were community spread and 7 percent of the cases reported to the state were in congregate settings.
LDH reports that 157,873 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays; last update 10/05/20).
Since Monday, 20,582 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,510,319.
According to LDH, 573 people are currently hospitalized (down 4 from Monday), and 68 of those are on ventilators (down 2 from Monday).

FROM MONDAY
As of October 12, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 63 and the number of deaths had increased by 14, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
Due to technology issues on Monday, LDH says they have received a limited set of lab results which is affecting the number of cases and tests reported. Monday’s update reflects those limited results. LDH says that any remaining tests and cases that would have been received and reported today will be added to tomorrow’s update.
The total number of cases in the state is now at 172,119 and the number of deaths is 5,476 as of Monday.
LDH reports that 157,873 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays; last update 10/05/20).
Since Sunday, 3,397 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,489,737.
According to LDH, 577 people are currently hospitalized (up 14 since Sunday), and 70 of those are on ventilators (down 1 from Sunday).
