As of September 22, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 730 and the number of deaths had increased by 11, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
The total number of cases in the state is now at 162,214 and the number of deaths is 5,218 as of Tuesday.
LDH reports that 145,570 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays; last update 09/14/20).
Since Monday, 21,182 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,205,935.
According to LDH, 571 people are currently hospitalized (down 16 from Monday), and 96 of those are on ventilators (up 3 from Monday).
