COVID-19: State update - 158,318 cases and 5,108 deaths

As of September 15, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 426 and the number of deaths had increased by 26, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 158,318 and the number of deaths is 5,108 as of Tuesday.

LDH says that the collection dates for most of these cases fall between September 7 and September 14, 2020. 86 percent of the cases reported to the state Tuesday were community spread. People aged 29 and under represent 34 percent of these cases. 29 percent are individuals between 18-29.

LDH reports that 140,440 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays; last update 09/07/20).

Since Monday, 12,659 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,091,023.

According to LDH, 667 people are currently hospitalized (up 3 from Monday), and 99 of those are on ventilators (down 6 from Monday).

St. Mary - 1,843 cases (up 7) | 75 deaths (no change)

Vermilion - 1,980 (down 5) | 55 deaths (no change)

As of September 14, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 497 and the number of deaths had increased by 17, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 157,947 and the number of deaths is 5,082 as of Monday.

LDH reports that 140,440 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays; last update 09/07/20).

Since Sunday, 12,569 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,078,364.

According to LDH, 664 people are currently hospitalized (down 16 from Sunday), and 105 of those are on ventilators (down 2 from Sunday).
