COVID-19: State update - 157,947 cases and 5,082 deaths

As of September 14, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 497 and the number of deaths had increased by 17, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 157,947 and the number of deaths is 5,082 as of Monday.

LDH says that the collection dates for most of these cases fall between September 7 and September 14, 2020. 81 percent of the cases reported to the state Monday were community spread. People aged 29 and under represent 35 percent of these cases. LDH says that 27 percent are individuals between 18-29.

LDH reports that 140,440 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays; last update 09/07/20).

Since Sunday, 12,569 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,078,364.

According to LDH, 664 people are currently hospitalized (down 16 from Sunday), and 105 of those are on ventilators (down 2 from Sunday).

St. Martin - 2,042 cases (down 4) | 59 deaths (up 1)

St. Mary - 1,836 cases (up 11) | 75 deaths (no change)

Vermilion - 1,985 (up 6) | 55 deaths (no change)

As of September 13, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 1,353 and the number of deaths had increased by 33, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 157,455 and the number of deaths is 5,065 as of Sunday.

LDH reports that 140,440 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays; last update 09/07/20).

Since Friday, 28,977 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,065,795.

According to LDH, 680 people are currently hospitalized (down 43 from Friday), and 107 of those are on ventilators (down 10 from Friday).
