As of September 3, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 884 and the number of deaths had increased by 17, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
The total number of cases in the state is now at 150,651 and 4,858 deaths as of Thursday.
LDH says that the collection dates for most of these cases fall between August 26 and September 2, 2020. 78 percent of the cases reported to the state on Thursday were community spread.
LDH reports that 134,432 patients are "presumed recovered." (last update 8/31/20).
Since Wednesday, 12,320 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 1,916,203.
According to LDH, 851 people are currently hospitalized (down 22 from Wednesday), and 128 of those are on ventilators (down 4 from Wednesday).

As of September 2, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 972 and the number of deaths had increased by 20, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
The total number of cases in the state is now at 149,838 and 4,841 deaths as of Wednesday.
LDH reports that 134,432 patients are "presumed recovered." (last update 8/31/20).
Since Tuesday, 14,058 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 1,903,883.
According to LDH, 873 people are currently hospitalized (down 37 from Tuesday), and 132 of those are on ventilators (up 4 from Tuesday).
