As of September 1, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 667 and the number of deaths had increased by 34, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
The total number of cases in the state is now at 148,882 and 4,821 deaths as of Tuesday.
LDH says that the collection dates for most of these cases fall between August 24 and August 31, 2020. 91 percent of the cases reported to the state on Tuesday were community spread.
LDH reports that 127,918 patients are "presumed recovered." (last update 8/24/20).
Since Monday, 17,036 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 1,889,825.
According to LDH, 910 people are currently hospitalized (up 29 from Monday), and 128 of those are on ventilators (down 4 from Monday).

As of August 31, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 324 and the number of deaths had increased by 19, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
The total number of cases in the state is now at 148,193 and 4,787 deaths as of Monday.
LDH reports that 127,918 patients are "presumed recovered." (last update 8/24/20).
Since Sunday, 4,039 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 1,872,789.
According to LDH, 881 people are currently hospitalized (down 21 from Sunday), and 132 of those are on ventilators (down 11 from Sunday).
