COVID-19: State update - 131,961 coronavirus cases, 4,169 deaths

As of August 10, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 562 and the number of deaths had increased by 24, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The Department of Health says that laboratory reporting appears to be incomplete and is potentially affecting case and test counts. Technical staff are reportedly investigating.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 131,961 and 4,169 deaths as of Monday.

LDH is reporting that 89,083 coronavirus patients are "presumed recovered" (updated weekly, last updated 8/03/20).

The LDH reports that 1,382 people are hospitalized (down 1 from Sunday). Of those, 215 required ventilators (up 5 from Sunday).

St. Martin - 1,714 cases (up ) | 46 deaths (up 1)

St. Mary - 1,611 cases (up 14) | 55 deaths (up 1)

Vermilion - 1,584 (up 2) | 26 deaths (up 2)

As of August 9, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 2,653 and the number of deaths had increased by 56, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 131,399 and 4,145 deaths as of Sunday.

*REMEMBER THAT THE STATE DOES NOT REPORT ON SATURDAY; THESE DIFFERENCES ARE BETWEEN TODAY'S NUMBERS AND FRIDAY'S NUMBERS.

The LDH reports that 1,383 people are hospitalized (down 23 from Friday). Of those, 210 required ventilators (up 3 from Friday).

On Saturday, July 18, the Louisiana Department of Health announced it will no longer be updating information on the COVID-19 dashboard on Saturdays. Information will be updated at noon daily except on Saturdays.
