COVID-19: State update - 131,399 coronavirus cases, 4,145 deaths

As of August 9, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 2,653 and the number of deaths had increased by 56, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 131,399 and 4,145 deaths as of Sunday.

*REMEMBER THAT THE STATE DOES NOT REPORT ON SATURDAY; THESE DIFFERENCES ARE BETWEEN TODAY'S NUMBERS AND FRIDAY'S NUMBERS.

LDH is reporting that 89,083 coronavirus patients are "presumed recovered" (updated weekly, last updated 8/03/20).

The LDH reports that 1,383 people are hospitalized (down 23 from Friday). Of those, 210 required ventilators (up 3 from Friday).

As of August 7, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 1,500 and the number of deaths had increased by 61, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 128,746 and 4,089 deaths as of Friday.

LDH is reporting that 89,083 coronavirus patients are "presumed recovered" (updated weekly, last updated 8/03/20).

The LDH reports that 1,406 people are hospitalized (down 51 from Thursday). Of those, 207 required ventilators (down 8 from Thursday).

As of August 6, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 1,303 and the number of deaths had increased by 50, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 127,246 and 4,028 deaths as of Thursday.

LDH is reporting that 89,083 coronavirus patients are "presumed recovered" (updated weekly, last updated 8/03/20).

The LDH reports that 1,457 people are hospitalized (down 14 from Wednesday). Of those, 215 required ventilators (down 8 from Wednesday).

On Saturday, July 18, the Louisiana Department of Health announced it will no longer be updating information on the COVID-19 dashboard on Saturdays. Information will be updated at noon daily except on Saturdays.
