COVID-19: State update - 112,773 coronavirus cases, 3,769 deaths

As of July 29, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 1,735 and the number of deaths had increased by 69, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 112,773 and 3,769 deaths as of Wednesday.

The Louisiana Department of Health says that the collection dates for most of Wednesday's cases fall between July 22, 2020 and July 29, 2020.

LDH says that 92 percent of the cases reported to the state were community spread and 31 percent of the cases reported today are of individuals aged 29 and under.

LDH is reporting that 74,246 coronavirus patients are "presumed recovered" (updated weekly, last updated 7/27/20).

The LDH reports that 1,544 people are hospitalized (down 39 from Tuesday). Of those, 221 required ventilators (up 7 from Tuesday).

St. Martin - 1,453 cases (up 11) | 40 deaths (up 3)

St. Mary - 1,342 cases (up 20) | 47 deaths (up 5)

Vermilion - 1,184 (up 26) | 15 deaths (no change)

As of July 28, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 1,121 and the number of deaths had increased by 26, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 111,038 and 3,700 deaths as of Tuesday.

The collection dates for most of these cases fall between July 20, 2020 and July 27, 2020, according to LDH.

LDH is reporting that 61,456 coronavirus patients are "presumed recovered" (updated weekly, last updated 7/19/20).

The LDH reports that 1,583 people are hospitalized (down 17 from Monday). Of those, 214 required ventilators (up 6 from Monday).
