An entire school in West Monroe has been placed under quarantine following a series of confirmed COVID-19 cases.

According to Tony Cain, the principal for Downsville Community Charter Schools, he was contacted by an epidemiologist from the State of Louisiana about cases associated with middle school students and teachers. The Louisiana Office of Public Health instructed Cain to quarantine all Downsville Middle School students.

Students can return to the school on October 12.
