57,790 rebate payments issued to frontline workers in Louisiana, processing continues

The Louisiana Department of Revenue is continuing to send out frontline worker rebate payments to those who applied and qualified.

The Department of Revenue says that distribution of those payments began on Friday July 31, for paper checks. This week, they continued with the processing of rebates via direct deposit.

As of Friday, August 7, a total of 57,790 rebates have been issued via paper check or direct deposit. Disbursements processed this week via direct deposit will be in the recipients' bank accounts this weekend.

Officials say that work continues to process rebate payments on a first-come, first-served basis.

The application period for the frontline worker rebate program continues through Oct. 31. Those wishing to apply can do so here
