The early week front has come and gone, leaving behind a round of beautiful fall weather for south Louisiana.

A chilly start to the day will end with temperatures getting into the mid 70s in the afternoon, and while feeling great in the sun it may be a little cool in the shade.

Winds will be picking up through the afternoon coming out of the north around 8-12 mph, which could make things feel fairly brisk in the shade.

Once the winds calm down Tuesday night temperatures will be allowed to drop getting down into the upper 40s by Wednesday morning.

There's not a whole lot of change in the forecast for the next few days with pleasant afternoons and cool mornings.

Friday, however, will see a return of moisture resulting in showers which may spill over into the weekend.

The weekend forecast is looking a little more complicated with little model consensus in regards to how fast that moisture is able to clear out.
