A cold and windy start to Monday will set the tone for what will be a pretty up and down forecast across Acadiana for the week.
Winds have stayed elevated and will continue to be blustery through the majority of the day, winds will be out of the north around 15-20 mph (gusts will be closer to 25-30 mph) which will keep the wind chill much lower than the thermometer.
The high on Monday afternoon will be right around 50 degrees but with winds as gusty as they are the wind chill will stay in the lower 40/upper 30s through out the entire day.
While there may be a little clearing in the late afternoon a majority of the day will be spent with cloudy skies, and after a brief round of morning sun on Tuesday, clouds will return along with some showers.
In fact the first half of the weekend will be pretty cloudy and we won't see any substantial clearing until the end of the week, just in time for another front to move through to start the weekend.
