Cold temperatures stick around for a few days

It's a chilly, chilly day across Acadiana this Wednesday as cold air continues to stream into the region from the north.

Despite plenty of sunshine temperatures will only make it to the mid to upper 50s in the afternoon, as winds stay fresh the wind chill will struggle to get out of the 40s.

As mentioned earlier the skies will remain clear and as winds start to relax Wednesday night the door will be open for an even colder start to the morning on Thursday .

Lows will drop below freezing area wide, and while pipes will be fine any sensitive plants should be taken care of as there will be frost.

It'll slowly warm up this week with a few sunny days before the clouds start to stream in to wrap up the work week.

Saturday is when the forecast becomes a little trickier with a low developing along the Gulf Coast which will bring the greater Gulf Coast plenty of wet, windy weather for the weekend.

As things stand in the middle of the week the worst of the weather will be to our east, but it would still be wise to expect a cloudy, windy day on Saturday.
