The air is biting and the grass is a little crunchy Friday morning as Acadiana gets it's coldest round of air so far this season, prompting Frost Advisories and even Freeze Warning in central parts of the state.

Skies will remain clear through the weekend, but despite the sunshine temperatures are still expected to struggle with highs sitting in the upper 50s to low 60s all the way into next week.

The next few nights will get pretty cold with lows dropping down into the 30s the next couple of days, however, lows should stay above freezing even for the northern half of Acadiana.

There's plenty to do across Acadiana this weekend and it lucky for all of us the weather won't be an issue for any of them.
