Chilly weather heading into the weekend

Posted
and last updated

The front has come and gone and we are left with the aftermath on Friday with a lot of clouds lingering around in the morning, although those should slowly clear by the afternoon.

It'll be a chilly wrap up to the work week with highs in the mid to upper 50s, but with winds coming through around 10-15 mph it'll make it even a little chillier feeling through the day.

Those winds should relax overnight on Friday which will allow for temperatures to drop down into the mid and upper 30s, which could lead to a little patchy frost for norther, rural parts of Acadiana.

The weekend looks to stay fairly quiet with high clouds moving through the area on Saturday after a sunny start, and by Sunday a slight lowering of the clouds could lead to a light spotty shower in the afternoon.

Sunday's round of showers will be a secondary front that slides through which will push another round of cool air into the region to start next work week.
