LAFAYETTE — Most of you will probably be braving the bone-chilling cold indoors.

But not everyone is as fortunate. For those who don't have a warm bed to sleep in Catholic Charities of Acadiana is reminding the public that St. Joseph shelter is available every night of the year for those who are experiencing homelessness and need night time sleeping arrangements.

"Every night that someone is forced to sleep on the street is an emergency" says Ben Broussard, Chief Communications Officer for Catholic Charities of Acadiana. "It's nights with below freezing temperatures that often have us think about those who are experiencing homelessness and what our response should be. Fact is, it is dangerous for anyone to sleep on the street on any night. With that in mind, Catholic Charities offers shelter 365 days per year to anyone who is in need."

St. Joseph shelter is located at 425 St John St. Click HERE if you would like to donate to the shelter.
