The Westlake Fire Department is asking for help from the public to help one of their own.

A Gofundme page has been created by the Westlake Fire Department to help gather funds for the family of the victims in a double homicide on July 15.

17-year-old Kyla Hidalgo was one of the victims in Wednesday morning's fatal shooting and is the daughter of one of the department's firefighters, Francis Hidalgo.

The page is asking for $15,000 to help fund any expenses that may come.

Hidalgo's 14-year-old daughter was allegedly kidnapped by the suspect wanted in the double homicide. She was later found safe.

51-year-old Neil Patrick Broussard, the suspect in the case, was captured on Thursday. He is accused of fatally shooting two teens, an 18 year-old and Hidalgo's 17-year-old daughter along with the kidnapping of the 14-year-old and stealing a car.

The girls' mother, who also was shot during the incident, is in critical condition at a hospital.

More on the investigation can be found here.
