A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in Orange, Texas, accused of carjacking a woman in Lake Charles.
The incident started on June 12, when a woman was waiting for her husband in their vehicle, parked in the lot of a home improvement store on Derek Drive.
A young man approached the vehicle and knocked on the door. She thought he was a store employee, and unlocked the doors. The young man then got into the car and told her to get out. She grabbed her personal belongings and ran, police say.
The young man drove away in the vehicle. About an hour later, the Orange County Police Department found the vehicle, which had been involved in a crash. The driver, the 14-year-old, was arrested and faces carjacking charges.
