A Sulphur man has been rearrested, accused of engaging in lewd and inappropriate communication on multiple occasions with a 15-year-old.

CPSO says that 30-year-old Raymond P. Casteel was rearrested Thursday following a investigation after his arrest in April for allegedly having sex on three separate occasions with a 15-year-old girl.

Calcasieu Deputies say that social media records between Casteel and the victim showed fourteen occasions in which Casteel allegedly engaged in lewd and inappropriate communication with the girl. On August 5, an arrest warrant in the amount of $100,000 was issued for Casteel's arrest. He bond was then reduced to $25,000 and Casteel turned himself in to the CPSO Warrants Division on August 15.

Casteel was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 14 counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.

In April, an investigation revealed the Casteel allegedly had sex with a 15-year-old girl on three separate occasions in January 2019. Detectives say that Casteel had met the girl previously in person and the two had been communicating on social media prior to having sex.

After speaking with the 15-year-old, detectives questioned Casteel who confirmed he had sex with the victim on one occasion. He was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 3 counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Casteel was released the following day on a $75,000 bond.
