Police say one person is dead following an overnight shooting incident in Lake Charles.
Officers with the Lake Charles Police Department responded to the area of Anita Drive and 6th Street at 11:02 pm on Wednesday, October 21.
There, police say they discovered one person dead as a result of a gunshot wound.
The investigation is ongoing and police say more information will be released when it becomes available.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Lake Charles Police Department at 337-491-1311 and ask for Sgt. Hoover.
