Interstate 10 westbound has been closed for some time because of several crashes on the bridge, Lake Charles Police say.
Now they tell us that State police will be shutting down I-10 and diverting traffic to I-210 for several hours.
DOTD says: I-10 West is closed on the Calcasieu River Bridge (Lake Charles) until further notice due to multiple incidents. Motorists are advised to use an alternate route.
