Deputies in Calcasieu Parish are asking for help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a vehicle burglary in Lake Charles on Tuesday morning.
The sheriff's office says that deputies were called to a home around 9:00 am on Engleside Drive in reference to the theft of a .9mm Beretta from inside a truck. Deputies say the victim had left his vehicle unlocked.
A review of surveillance footage from homes showed an unknown man riding a bicycle in the area of Engleside Drive and Woodruff Street earlier on Tuesday morning.
Video reportedly showed the man attempting to gain access to vehicles in the area from 2:30 am to 3:00 am.
