LAKE CHARLES, La. - A 14-year-old girl was arrested for terrorizing after allegedly claiming she had a bomb.

A student at LaGrange High School notified the assistant principal that a 14-year-old student was making comments about having a bomb in her backpack and stated she was going to "blow this (expletive) up," according to Kim Myers, spokesperson for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office.

The juvenile was detained and no bomb was found in her backpack.

She is being charged with terrorism and is being processed through the MARC (Multi-Agency Resource Center).

CPSO Detective Greg Jordan is the lead investigator on this case.
