The theme was "When 2020 gives you lemons, make lemonade."

A young philanthropist duo who just happen to be siblings gave out free lemonade on Saturday to spread some cheer in their neighborhood.

They set up the drive-thru lemonade stand in a Lafayette neighborhood Saturday afternoon for National Lemonade Day.

The eight-year-old girl and her three-year-old brother decorated for the occasion. And don't worry - their parents made sure they used masks and gloves while serving their customers.

The theme was "When 2020 gives you lemons, make lemonade."

The kids' mother said a lemonade stand is a yearly tradition for the siblings that is in its fifth year, but this time, they naturally had to make a few changes.

"We decided this year we would still do it, but we would do it a little different, so we're giving out lemonade but it's canned, it's bottled, it's Capri Sun lemonade, and..."

"Free," her daughter added.

"And it's free!" said Tesha.

Tesha said it's a way her family can give back and brighten the day.

She said she hopes people driving past can get a little bit of sunshine, albeit in a safe way.

It's important, Tesha added, "to show the kids that life doesn't stop, you just have to pivot, you adjust, you just change the way you do things. But you can still have fun. You can still be happy, and you can still make others happy. You just do it in a different way."
