There's a beautiful forecast coming up to end the work week with plenty of sunshine and cool temperatures across Acadiana.

The highs will push into the low 60s by the afternoon and with more clouds arriving late Friday night the lows will sit in the upper 40s.

Clouds linger through the day on Saturday, in fact the clouds will be gathering through the day ahead of a cold front which is expected to move through in the early morning hours of Sunday.

Ahead of that front not only will the clouds be thickening, but winds will be picking up as well coming in out of the south around 15-20 mph with gusts slightly higher.

A few passing showers will be possible in the afternoon but a majority of the wet weather won't arrive until after midnight when the front passes through Acadiana.

This is going to make for a much cooler day on Sunday with skies gradually clearing through the afternoon and temperatures dropping into the early part of next work week.
