As Acadiana approaches the weekend it's hard to come up with a better forecast with perfect weather lasting through the weekend and even into early next week.
The winds have stayed gusty through the night and it'll be a windy start to the day with winds staying around 15 mph, and gusting around 25 mph, which has made for a chilly start to the day.
It'll be a sunny Friday and temperatures will stick in the mid 60s through the afternoon, and with a cool north breeze it'll be quite chilly in the shade or a breezeway.
This forecast will continue into the weekend with slightly warmer afternoons on Saturday and Sunday before our next front moves through on Sunday night.
Since it's so dry outside there's no chance of rain with this front but it will keep temperatures cool into the early parts of next week, including Election Day.
