Kalli Christ is the Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana, an affiliate of the country’s oldest and most effective mentoring organization. Kalli brings visionary leadership to the organization, providing oversight of the agency’s operations, culture, values, talent, and financial performance while providing strategic leadership to position Big Brothers Big Sisters as the premier one-to-one mentoring organization in Acadiana.

Through her previous work as a Case Manager with foster youth at The Children’s Shelter of Acadiana, Kalli saw first hand the impact a positive role model could make in the life of a child. So in 2013, when the opportunity came to work with Big Brothers Big Sisters, she knew it would be a perfect fit. Achieving success in her position working directly with volunteers, children, and families in the program, Kalli was promoted to Program Director in 2014. While in that position, she honed her management skills and learned the ins and outs of effectively executing program initiatives with her staff. Then in 2017, Kalli was named as Executive Director.

Under Kalli’s leadership as Executive Director, the organization has made tremendous strides as measured by the number of children served, revenue generation, programs offered, and overall visibility. The organization adopted a three-year strategic plan influencing all facets of the organization including growing and improving the agency’s mentoring programs, advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, improving fundraising and development strategies to ensure sustainability and growth, and positioning Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana as a leader in youth development by addressing challenges affecting young people in Acadiana.

A true champion of the mission, Kalli is invested not only locally but also on the regional and the national levels, serving on Big Brothers Big Sisters of America’s Nationwide Leadership Council and various committees and task forces. Focused on the future, Kalli spends much of her time and effort defining how Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana can have an even greater impact on youth facing adversity in Acadiana and how to best adapt and ensure continued success in a changing world.
