District Attorney Keith Stutes has released the most recent convictions and sentencings from Vermilion Parish.
According to Stutes’ release, the following defendants were convicted or pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 15th Judicial District Court, Parish of Vermilion:
- Damian Simon, Simple Burglary, 5 years hard labor, suspended, 2 years supervised probation
- Shannon Bacque, Domestic Abuse Battery by Strangulation, 3 years hard labor
- Garland Key, Failure to Secure Sex Offender ID Card, 6 months parish jail
- Nicholas Taylor, Attempted Simple Burglary, 1 year hard labor
- Richard Perez, III, Simple Escape, 1 year hard labor
- Lucian Jackson, Simple Burglary, 2 years hard labor
- Synthia Grotheer, Unauthorized Use of an Access Card, 4 years hard labor, suspended, 2 years supervised probation
