Firefighters responded to a small fire on the roof of the C.S. Steen Syrup Mill in Abbeville Tuesday afternoon.
“The fire was extinguished in less than five minutes,” said Chief Jude Mire, Abbeville Fire Department. “No one was injured putting out the fire.”
The cause of the fire was not released.
