During a special meeting tonight, the Public Safety Committee for the City of Abbeville voted to recommend a pay raise for all municipality employees.
That recommendation will be brought before the city council.
The recommendation includes the addition of a half-cent sales tax to help with the raises.
If voted on and approved, the sales tax would be put on the May ballot.
