Expecting parents and parents of infants in Vermilion Parish were able to get a helping hand today.
St. Theresa’s Christian Service Center and A Pregnancy Center and Clinic hosted a community baby shower.
Those in attendance were asked to bring diapers and baby wipes as a gift for the shower.
Lunch was served as Patrice Lewis, Executive Director of A Pregnancy Center and Clinic of Lafayette, and Phil Camel, Director of Development from the Desormeaux Foundation, lead the afternoon talk.
“We are offering new services for women and our families in our community, especially those who are expecting, and so, today is a fundraiser. It is to help the community understand that at the Christian service center on Thursdays, we’re supporting women in our community who are expecting,” said Kelli Davis, the Director of Development at St. Theresa’s Christian Service Center.
