Southeast Water in Vermilion Parish is under a boil advisory until further notice.
A valve blew out, causing a drop in pressure. The valve has been repaired, so all customers should have water now, officials say.
The water may be discolored for a while, as crews are flushing out the system.
All water that is to be consumed, used to cook or brush teeth, etc., should be boiled for one full minute.
When the order is lifted, officials will issue another notice.
