UPDATE, 8:30 p.m.
State police say US 167 is now open following a two-vehicle crash just south of Maurice.
Troopers say two vehicles were involved. They are reporting minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.

State Police say that they are working a vehicle crash on US 167 in Vermilion Parish
The crash is in the southbound lanes which have been closed as crews are on scene.
Witnesses tell KATC that police are redirecting traffic away from the crash which is close to the LA 699 intersection just south of Maurice.
There is no word on injuries at this time. It is unclear how long those lanes may be closed.
