Cattle Festival begins Wednesday in a new home

The Louisiana Cattle Festival is moving to a new home this year.

The festivities begin on Wednesday, you can find a full schedule of events below.

The festival this year will be held at The Red Barn on Rodeo Road in Abbeville.  For more details on the festival, click here.

Wednesday, October 10, 2018

6:00 pm: Honoree Social & Banquet. Music by Wesbound, Wesley Lemaire.

Location: Magdalen Place on Magdalen Square.

Thursday, October 11, 2018

5:30 pm: Festival Opening Ceremonies

Bracelet Day- unlimited rides from open to close of fair;

Bracelet $20

Location: The Red Barn, 2901 Rodeo Rd.

Friday, October 12, 2018

$5 Gate Fee; Children 10 and Under enter for FREE

8:00 am:     Livestock Show – Location: LA Extension Service Bldg., West Port St., Abbeville

8:00 am:     Alice Lancon Memorial Cooking Contest – Location: Farm Bureau Office, Veterans Memorial Drive

10:00 am:   Judging for Cooking Contest Begins

12:00 pm:   Public Viewing for Cooking Contest Begins

Judging of the Sheep Show – Location: Cecil McCory Exhibit Building, West Port St., Abbeville

5:30 pm:     Festival Opens ($5 Gate Fee)

Location: Main Stage, The Red Barn, 2901 Rodeo Rd.

Midnight:    All Festival Activities Close
