United Way of Acadiana has set up several ways people can help in the wake of Hurricane Laura.

  • MONETARY DONATION:
    • Those looking to give a monetary donation can do so through our their relief fund here: www.unitedwayofacadiana.org/hurricaneLaura. Donations will help cover the needs of a neighbor during the Hurricane Laura disaster. As they are still assessing damages, the fund will be used in the United Way of Acadiana service area first and then to assist the sister agency based in Lake Charles (United Way of Southwest Louisiana) with any remaining funds.

  • DONATE FOOD/SUPPLIES:
    • United Way of Acadiana, Second Harvest Food Bank, and FoodNet/Catholic Charities of Acadiana have partnered to hold a joint food drive September 1-11. Second Harvest is open weekdays from 8 am - 4 pm and will be accepting all donations. The warehouse is located on the United Way of Acadiana campus at 215 E. Pinhook. The list of accepted donations can be found here: www.unitedwayofacadiana.org/foodsupplydrive.
