State police are investigating two separate crashes involving school buses in Acadiana.

One happened in Lafayette, the other in Abbeville. No injuries were reported in either crash, and neither bus driver was at fault, troopers say.

The Lafayette crash happened about 6:24 a.m. near the intersection of Renaud Drive and Diesel Drive.

Troopers say around 20 students were on the bus. No injuries were reported. A spokeswoman for the school system said the students were headed to Lafayette High School.

The second, a three-vehicle crash, happened around 6:32 a.m. on LA 338 near Airport Road in Abbeville.

Troopers say 18 children were on that bus. A spokesman for the school system said two vehicles crashed into each other, and one was thrown into the bus. It scraped the bus' front bumper, he said. The bus was carrying students to J.H. Williams Middle School and Abbeville High School. All parents were notified and no injuries were reported, the spokesman said.
