"Every Place We Ever Lived" is an artistic collaboration of artists Aileen Bennett, Paige Barnett and Gina Aswell that explores literal and figurative textures of a person's everyday life.

This year's art installation uses visual art and site-specific dances that focus on the circle of creativity.

Five professional dancers from around Acadiana will perform as a part of the art installation in the green space on South Main Street and West Landry Street in Downtown Opelousas behind the Old Saint Landry Bank Annex

That performance will be held on October 5.

Part one of the event starts at 5:30 pm and the performance begins at 6:00 pm.

Dancers will use the natural environment of Downtown Opelousas to create the palette and texture for the first show.

Admission is free but there is a suggested donation of $10 for admission.

The event is funded by ArtSpark, an individual artist stipend supported by the Lafayette Economic Development Authority and Administered by the Acadiana Center of The Arts.

The art will hang for the remainder of the month in the windows of the old arcade across from the Saint Landry Parish Courthouse.

Part two of "Every Place We Ever Lived" will be held on November 9 and introduce a brand new cast including performers with Basin Dance Collective at Basin Arts

The showing will include a 20 minute performance with viewings of paintings created by Aileen Bennet after the performance.

The dance component of the event will take place in the Basin Arts Gallery in Lafayette at 7:00 pm.
