A group of local men helped raise money tonight for Hearts of Hope...and they did it in style!

Hearts of Hope hosted the 4th Annual Studs in Stilettos tonight at the Acadiana Center for the Arts.

Seven Studs took the stage and took a stand against sexual violence in Acadiana.

This year's Studs were Dr. William "Brad" Roth, Dan Hare, Duaine Belfour, Charles Walton, Anthony Adams, Chip Perrin, and Bryan Benoit. The theme was "Rock the ACA."

Attendees were able to vote for their favorite Stud.

Special guests included local band Shotgun Lillie.

Amidie Shaw, Director of Community Development for Hearts of Hope, said, "Hearts of Hope is the children's advocacy center and the rape crisis center for such a huge part of Acadiana's eight parishes, and this was an event to have fun and raise critical funding and get men involved in the fight against sexual violence."

As of 9 p.m. Wednesday night, the event had raised over $33,000.

All proceeds benefit Hearts of Hope. The non-profit provides education, advocacy, and empowerment services and programs to those affected by sexual violence in the Acadiana area.
