Franklin Police say a suspect in the 2016 death of a Jeanerette teen has been indicted by a grand jury.
19-year-old Lunden Toussaint was indicted Friday on principal to second degree murder in the death of 16-year-old Braylen Foulcard.
Foulcard was found dead on Augustine Maze Road in October of 2016 following an investigation into a complaint of shots fired.
According to officers, in December 2018 investigators with the Franklin Police Department received additional information pertaining to the Foulcard homicide. The investigators were able to present the findings to the grand jury of the 16th Judicial District Court in St. Mary Parish.
In December, another arrest was made in the investigation. 26-year-old Raquel Matthews of Franklin was arrested for allegedly disposing of evidence in the case. She was book on a charge of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.
