Franklin Police investigating Mardi Gras Day shooting

Franklin police are investigating a shooting that happened after the city’s Mardi Gras Parade on Tuesday.

A spokesman with the police department says there is currently an investigation into a gun being fired on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between Second and Third streets around 3:30 pm on Mardi Gras.

No one was injured in the shooting. An investigation continues.

Videos of the shot being fired were shared on social media following the incident.

The case remains under investigation.
