The investigation began after deputies were alerted to possible narcotics activity at a Morgan City business. Detectives arrived at the location and made contact with two possible suspects, 39-year-old Jarrad Cannon of Patterson and 29-year-old Sable Leal of Gibson.

The business, according to deputies, is located within 2,000 feet of a school.

During the investigation, detectives say they found a large number of drugs, currency, and drug paraphernalia. Deputies say the drugs are valued at $8,500.

As a result of the finding, both Cannon and Leal were arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.
