Fundraiser being held for Berwick man injured in crash

A fundraiser is being held for a 23-year Berwick man who suffered severe injuries in a motocross bike crash.

Nate Furlette has gone through multiple surgeries and is in a coma after crashing while practicing for a tournament in New Iberia. He was riding slow and all of a sudden lost control and suffered severe head trauma, according to his family. He is showing signs of improvement and has recently been taking of a respirator and is breathing on his own.

On March 16, a fundraiser is being held at FVF Moto track in Breaux Bridge. It’s a ride day, with a twist. There will be live music, food, auctions, and raffles.
