Two people were apprehended following a high-speed chase that started in Iberia Parish and ended in St. Mary Parish Thursday evening.
According to a spokesman with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a call to assist Iberia Parish Sheriff’s deputies and state police when the duo entered St. Mary Parish on Highway 90.
The spokesman says deputies used spike strips to stop the suspect vehicle near the Calumet Cut area.
The identities of the suspects were not immediately available.
