One person was injured in a weekend house fire in St. Mary parish.
St. Mary Fire District 11 was called to a fire in the 1100 block of Big Four Corners Rd. Sunday morning. The homeowner was transported to a Lafayette hospital after receiving burns while escaping from the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The home did have working smoke alarms donated and installed by the Louisiana State Fire Marshals Office Operation Save a Life program.
