Patterson Police say two men are wanted in connection with a shooting that injured three people in the city on Tuesday.

According to Chief Janis Merritt, 20-year-old Kirt Favors, Jr. and 26-year-old Randolph Joseph are persons of interest in a shooting that occurred around 5:00 pm on Tuesday near the intersection of Taft and Plum Streets in Patterson.

Three people were injured during the incident. Merritt says that one of the victims, a woman, was shot in the chest after a bullet entered her home and struck her while she was in the shower. During the investigation, police say they received a call from Teche Regional Medical Center concerning a man who was being treated for gunshot wounds. Police say the man was shot three times in the hands and legs.

The victims are reported to be in stable condition.

Patterson Police were alerted to reports of a third victim injured in the shooting, but Chief Merritt says investigators were unable to identify that person or the injuries he sustained.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing and police say arrests are expected in the case.

Last year, Kirt Favors was arrested in November in connection with another shooting in Patterson. That shooting in happened on Taft and Hickory streets. The victim in that incident suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Favors was also wanted for questioning following a November 2017 shooting in Lafayette. He was not charged in that shooting. One person, 37-year-old John Paul Batiste of Arnaudville, was killed in that shooting. Another suspect 17-year-old Brian Harris was arrested and charged in that shooting after turning himself in to police.

In March 2017, Favors was also the victim of a shooting at the Boys and Girls Club in Lafayette.
He was 17 years old at the time and was shot multiple times by another teen.
