The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office says they are searching for a suspect wanted for alleged vehicle theft in the Charenton area.
Deputies say that 20-year-old Terrel Charles is wanted by the department on charges of possession of stolen things, resisting an officer, and seat belt violation.
According to deputies, Charles was identified as a suspect in a stolen vehicle investigation on Tuesday night. During the investigation, Charles was located by deputies in a vehicle on Dinkins Road. Deputies say he fled on foot after officers attempted a traffic stop.
