The St. Martinville City Council is close to finalizing its budget for the new fiscal year.
The group held a public hearing Monday to take in comments by the community. They will hold a meeting to make amendments and approve the budget next Monday, June 30, 2019.
“It was very good. Very successful. This was my first budget meeting as a new mayor so I’m excited and I see us going forward,” Mayor Melinda Mitchell said.
