If anyone in the Breaux Bridge, Henderson, Parks, Cecilia or St. Martinville areas of upper St. Martin Parish received water inside their home as a result of the flooding that occurred this morning, they are asked to please report it to the St. Martin Parish Office Of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness by calling (337) 394-2808.
The St. Martin Parish Water System for Catahoula is issuing a boil water advisory, effective immediately.
Deputies are urging residents to be cautious and mindful of snakes and other wildlife that may seek refuge from the flood water near homes and businesses.

The chief says everyone should the following streets: Main Street, Berard Street, Courthouse Street, West Bridge Street near City Hall, Van Buren Street, Baldwin Street, Hollier Road, Pierre Street Ophelia Street, Agnes Street, all Streets in North Bridge Subdivision, St. Charles Street, 6th Street.

Sandbags:
Beginning at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon until 5:00 p.m., sandbags will be available to St. Martin Parish residents at Ruth Barn located on 1035C Ruth Bridge Hwy between Breaux Bridge and Parks. Please be prepared to fill your own sandbags.
Available in Breaux Bridge at the Public Works Annex (old DOTD site) at the western end of Refinery Street (off of Berard Street). They are all filled, and you will get help loading.
